Overview: What Does Circular 10/2025(I) Change?

This circular directly affects Sri Lanka Teachers' Service (Grade 2-II), apprentice medical officers, pupil nurses, paramedical trainees, technological service trainees, and Sri Lanka Customs officers.
The three amendments are:

This is the most significant update for the teaching community. Officers appointed to Grade 2-II of the Sri Lanka Teachers' Service are now placed in the GE 2-2025 salary scale, with their initial salary step determined by their qualifications.
The salary step is assigned at the point of promotion to Grade 2-II. Qualifications must comply with the prescriptions in the Service Minute of the Sri Lanka Teachers' Service.
Salary Step Breakdown by Qualification
| # | Qualification / Pathway | Step | Monthly Salary |
|---|---|---|---|
| 01 | Promoted from Grade 3-I to Grade 2-II | 1 | Rs. 66,880 |
