Senior Director – Regulatory Strategy
Lead development and implementation of regulatory frameworks under the Personal Data Protection Act, including rules, standards, licensing. Provide strategic oversight on cross-border data flows and international compliance.

Lead regulatory supervision of data controllers and processors — compliance monitoring, breach management, impact assessments. Drive capacity building through training and stakeholder engagement.

Design and implement training and awareness programmes, identify competency gaps, coordinate capacity-building initiatives with internal and external stakeholders.

Remuneration, Benefits & Requirements

💰 Remuneration & Benefits

  • Fixed-term contract for initial period of 3 years
  • EPF (Employees' Provident Fund) entitlement
  • ETF (Employees' Trust Fund) entitlement
  • Attractive remuneration package applicable to fixed-term employees

📋 Other Requirements

  • Must be a citizen of Sri Lanka
  • Physically and mentally fit to serve anywhere in the island
  • Must possess excellent moral character
  • Good command of English (required for professional grades)
  • Familiarity with digital economy and social media is an added advantage

⚖️ General Conditions

  • Age Limit: Does not apply to applicants from public corporations, statutory boards, or fully government-owned companies
  • Selection: Based on one or more interviews — appointments made strictly on merit
  • Management Assistant: Must also sit a written examination in addition to a structured interview

🔄 Secondment

  • Eligible public sector officers may apply on secondment
  • Must coordinate with their line Ministry for release
  • Applications must be submitted through Heads of respective Ministries/Departments
  • Initial secondment period: 1 year, renewable subject to performance
