SLPS Grade III Competitive Exam Rescheduled to 7th June 2026
The Department of Examinations has issued an official special notice confirming a new date for the Limited Competitive Examination for Recruitment to Grade III of the Sri Lanka Principals' Service – 2025 (2026), which had been postponed earlier.
The Department of Examinations, Sri Lanka has officially announced the rescheduled date for the Limited Competitive Examination for Recruitment to Grade III of the Sri Lanka Principals' Service (SLPS) – 2025 (2026). According to a Special Notice issued by the Commissioner General of Examinations, the examination will now be held on 7th June 2026.
The examination had been postponed previously, causing uncertainty among thousands of candidates who had already applied. The official notice, dated 30th April 2026, provides clarity on the new schedule and offers assurance regarding admission cards.
It is hereby notified that the above examination has been re-scheduled for 7th June 2026. A new admission card will be issued to all eligible candidates in due course.
All candidates who previously registered for this examination are advised to note the updated date. The Department has confirmed that new admission cards will be issued to all eligible candidates. Applicants do not need to re-apply or take any immediate action at this stage.
The Sri Lanka Principals' Service Grade III examination is a competitive assessment conducted to recruit qualified principals to government schools across the country. It is administered under the purview of the Ministry of Education and managed by the Department of Examinations.
