The Department of Educational Publications (DEP) of Sri Lanka has officially announced a recruitment drive for qualified writers to develop school learning materials aligned with the national curriculum. Who Is Eligible to Apply?

Applicants must have expertise in a relevant school subject area, along with proven writing skills and experience. The following professional categories are eligible:

Teacher-Specific Experience Requirements

5+YRS

Graduate Teachers More than 5 years of teaching experience AND a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE).

8+YRS

Trained / NCOE Diploma Teachers More than 8 years of teaching experience with a National College of Education (NCOE) diploma.

Subject Areas Available

The following 30 subject areas (from Annex I of the official notice) are open for writer applications. Subjects are available in Sinhala, Tamil, and/or English medium.
